New Dawn Developments

I am compelled to write this letter to Chad Jensen and New Dawn Developments because our experience building a house with their company has been outstanding. We cannot say enough about this professional, experienced, creative and talented team. They did not just build us a house they built us our dream home.

As we drove around Cranbrook, familiarizing ourselves with the neighbourhoods, one thing stood out for us: the most beautiful, unique homes all had New Dawn signs in front of them. We were very impressed, and wondered if maybe we should consider building a house that suited us instead of settling for something we would want to renovate or change.

Some people have reservations about building in today’s market. We had been told that we “would never have a house built within a year in Cranbrook”, that “the cost overruns would set us back” and that “building a house is too stressful, especially if you are not living close by to keep an eye on things”. We were told we would have to hire an independent contractor and find all the different trades ourselves. That would have been a nightmare. Our experience with New Dawn was nothing like that, it was easy because they handled everything. In addition, we were building in a new area, on a difficult lot and we were still living in a different province.

New Dawn finished the job a month earlier than they had projected and it cost us exactly what they promised us it would. A company like New Dawn does not earn a reputation of being the best in the business, for over 20 years, without having the best craftsmen in the trades working with them. Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship speak for themselves. Their reputation in the community precedes them and we are fortunate to say from personal experience they are a professional, respectful and caring group of people. It was an honour for us to have them build our home.

Chad Jensen went above and beyond more than once throughout the building of our home. As with any construction there will be barriers. For us, building in a new area of town we faced some challenges that could have caused major problems before and during construction. Chad went to bat for us more than once and without his savvy and knowledge of the industry we would not be in our home today. We were more than customers and we will forever be grateful.

Our overall experience with New Dawn Developments has been fantastic. We love our home, it is unique, it is beautiful and the process was fun. They supported us in creating the plans, through the ups and downs of construction and they are still available for help if we need them. We cannot say enough about our building experience with New Dawn Developments. They have lived up to their reputation and have exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you Chad,  and everyone at New Dawn Developments.
