Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre

The City of Kimberley partnered with New Dawn Developments when they found the bids received for the construction of this project exceeded their funding possibilities.  New Dawn and its valued trades and suppliers spent countless hours developing value engineering strategies to bring the project within its budget constraints.  During the construction of the project, through the continued efforts of New Dawn as general contractor, and many of its sub-trades, working with the design team and the City’s staff, the City of Kimberley has continued to save money and time; the project is on track to open ahead of schedule in the fall of 2010.

Cranbrook Rotary Bandstand

The Rotary Park in downtown Cranbrook has been the unofficial center of town for decades.  When the Province of BC announced a funding program to develop a Spirit Square in BC’s towns and cities, the Rotary Club of Cranbrook approached New Dawn to help them bring their dream of a band stand in Rotary Park to life.  In conjunction with all of the major stakeholders involved with the park, including first nations, the legion, seniors and youth groups and the City of Cranbrook, New Dawn designed and constructed this beautiful public space.  With significant donations of time and material from New Dawn and its sub-trades and suppliers, the Rotary Club of Cranbrook and the City now have a centrepiece for public gatherings that has enhanced the downtown park and reinvigorated downtown activity with: farmer’s markets, outdoor concerts, Remembrance Day services and weddings.

Cranbrook Society for Community Living provides employment opportunities and support services for their clients in the City.  One of the ways they are able to accomplish this task is through their own document shredding business called Blade Runner.  New Dawn provided design and construction expertise to this valued not-for-profit organization to build a new warehouse and operations facility in downtown Cranbrook to house its growing business.
