For years, the homeowners talked about how much they liked the lot across the culdesac from their Kimberley Ski Hill vacation home. They knew the views of the Rocky Mountains, Trickle Creek Golf Course and the hamlet of Kimberley and the Valley beyond was simply breathtaking on this lot. But….the house was not for them! It had been converted into 4 separate apartments – one on each level and, believe it or not…one in the garage! The house wasn’t even for sale but they figured they may as well take the first step and just ask, if by any chance, the owner would want to sell – and he did!
After many months of collaboration with the clients, our Designer Kim, even the City of Kimberley for variance approval and building permits, we are all hands on deck with this big renovation. First step was to remove the 4 separate rental suites in the home, add square footage in the way of a new entry, garage and bedrooms above and rebuild the home to meet the latest in new home design trends and building practices.
Now complete, this new single family home features 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a walkout basement level with a ski room, an open concept main floor and an actual garage! Not sure who’s more excited…the homeowners, the neighbours or us!
