Safety Officer

New Dawn Developments is looking for an honest, caring, motivated, career minded person to
fill the position of Safety Officer with a fast-growing, progressive, customer service oriented

Responsibilities Include:

• Promoting a culture of job site safety, where safety is a shared responsibility
• Preparing site safety plans, conducting hazard assessments, incident investigationsand risk assessments, as required
• Ensuring all accidents, incidents and injuries are properly reported to allappropriate parties
• Facilitating and participating in site inspections, and implementing correctiveaction as required
• Regularly monitoring safety compliance of workers and sub-contractors
• Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or (NCSO) designation
• Minimum of 2 years Health and Safety experience
• Good knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines and standards
• Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures

Interior Designer

New Dawn Developments is looking for an honest, caring, motivated, career minded individual to fill a position on our Design Team. New Dawn Developments Ltd. is an organization comprised of professionals committed to providing our clients with quality housing, the latest in design and construction innovation, on time construction completion, and superior before and after sales service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Having the experience and knowledge to help clients choose the finishes for their new home
• Meeting with client/architect/sales team to discuss the customer requirements, expectations and budget
• Ensuring material selections are completed to meet construction schedules
• Ensuring accuracy and quality of documents through knowledge of building and construction processes
• Demonstrated expertise in building technology for residential and commercial buildings
• Communicating effectively with the co-workers, managers, and administrators

Required Skills:

Diploma in interior design considered an asset

Estimator

Good typing and computer skills

Must be able to focus and be very organized

Must be a problem solver

Must work well in a team setting

Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Estimator at New Dawn Developments, you will be responsible for:
– Preparing and submitting accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects
– Performing quantity take-offs from building plans and specifications
– Requesting, collecting, and organizing quotes from sub-trades and suppliers
– Submitting purchase orders and maintaining up-to-date material price lists
– Analyzing labour, material, and time requirements to develop detailed cost breakdowns
– Communicating effectively with trades, project managers, and administrative staff

Qualifications & Skills
– Strong computer and typing skills (Microsoft Office and estimating software)
– Experience with take-off programs or estimating software (preferred)
– Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to focus on multiple priorities
– Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
– Effective written and verbal communication skills
